UPDATE; Monday’s recount in the Enniscorthy area has been resolved. Cyril Wheelock’s votes (1,017) were recounted on COUNT 8 and Pat Kehoe (Fine Gael) took the final seat. This is the full result for Enniscorthy in the 2024 local elections.
There will be no more counting for the Enniscorthy area tonight. A complete recount has been called for and will resume at 9am on Monday morning.
First Count for Enniscorthy district has just been announced, Outgoing councillors Cathal Byrne (Fine Gael) and Aidan Browne (Fianna Fail) have been elected.
John O’Rourke (Independent), Barbara-Anne Murphy (Fianna Fail) and Pat Kehoe (Fine Gael) were all elected on Count 8.
