The funeral takes place today (Friday) of well-known and respected businessman, David F. Bolger, Millmount, Gorey, who will be laid to rest in St. Aidan’s Cemetery, Ferns.
Mr Bolger passed away on Wednesday, July 10th – the day of his 90th birthday.
He was former Chairman and Managing Director of John Bolger & Co. Ltd and well-known and respected in business circles.
On a personal note of appreciation, David was very supportive of my endeavours in my early writing days and was not only generous with much appreciated sponsorship that furthered my career in journalism, but he also became a lifelong friend and promoted my writings to friends and acquaintances at every opportunity. FAMILY NOTICE; The death has occurred of David F. Bolger (10th July 1934 – 10th July 2024), Millmount, Gorey, Co. Wexford. Former Chairman and Managing Director of John Bolger & Co. Ltd. Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brother John, sisters Ann, Mercedes and Mary, brothers-in-law Paddy and Raymond Boland (Dublin) and sister-in-law Collette Holmes Limerick, cherished husband of Deirdre. Sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Sheila Dearing (Vancover) and Patricia Dowling (Dublin), his five sons David, Diarmuid, Peter, Kevin and Ciarán, daughters-in-law Una, Paula, Kate, Tara Ann and Angela, his grandchildren Aislinn, Maeve, Fergal, Mary Kate, John, Peter, Jack, David, Christopher, Greg, Cathleen and Liam, great-grandchildren Malachy and Milla and all his nieces, nephews, relatives, many friends and neighbours. May David Rest In Peace.
David is reposing at Floods Funeral Home, McDermott Street, Gorey and removal takes place today, Friday, July 12th at 9.30am to St. Michael’s Church, Gorey, for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in St. Aidan’s Cemetery Ferns.
