Around 80 kilos of Herbal Cannabis with an estimated street value of €1.6 million (pending analysis) was seized after a van was intercepted by Gardaí at Ballycarney, Enniscorthy, yesterday (Friday).
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is being held at a Garda Station in the east of the country. He can be held for up to seven days.
An Garda Síochána and Revenue conducted a targeted joint operation.
Investigations are ongoing.
