Gardaí are investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 8.15pm on Saturday in the Priory Lane area of New Ross.
A man in his 40s was arrested and he is currently being detained at New Ross Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
No injuries were reported during the course of this incident. Investigations are ongoing.
