A man in his 30s has died in a single vehicle road traffic collision on the R744 at Clonhasten, near Enniscorthy, this evening.
The incident occurred shortly before 7.30pm. It is understood that the vehicle burst into flames and the occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene. Paramedics from the National Ambulance Service, units of Enniscorthy Fire Service and An Garda Siochána.
Forensic collision investigators are at the scene and the road – Enniscorthy to Oulart – remains closed to traffic between Clonhasten and Finchogue.
