Gardaí in Gorey are investigating an incident on the R772 Arklow Road at Aske, Gorey, which occurred last night or early today.
A single vehicle road traffic collision resulted in a pedestrian sustaining ‘serious injuries’ and he was discovered at the scene around 6am.
Emergency services were summoned to the scene and the injured party was removed to hospital by ambulance.
It appears to be ‘a hit and run’ incident as no vehicle was found at the scene. It is also unknown when the incident took place.
