A man in his 50s died this afternoon after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a van near Wellingtonbridge in south Wexford.
The collision happened on the R736 at Barrystown between Wellingtonbridge and Carrig-on-Bannow shortly before 3.15pm.
Gardaí and emergency services attended, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van driver did not need immediate hospital treatment.
The road remains closed to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
