The newly enlarged Blackwater Parish Hall was officially opened this morning by Bishop of Ferns, Most Rev. Ger Nash following celebration of Mass in St. Brigid’s Church with Very Rev. Brendan Nolan, parish priest of Blackwater.
Liam Buttle, Chairperson) welcomed guests and members of the community to the event which concluded with refreshments for all.
The attendance included Cllr Pip Breen, Cathaoirleach Gorey-Kilmuckridge Municipal District Council, Cllrs Andrew Bolger, Willie Kavanagh, Donal Kenny and Oliver Walsh and Johnny Mythen T.D.
