Kilmuckridge Drama Group’s production of The Playboy of the Western World by John Millington Synge has been declared winners at the Bostik All-Ireland Confined Drama Finals at Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. Adjudicator Paul Fowler announced the winners just before midnight.
Anthony O’Connor, who also won Best Director, was presented with the coveted Clare Galway Perpetual Trophy and it is on its way back to Wexford.
Camross Drama Group was the other Wexford group of the nine finalists with The Kings of the Kilburn High Road by Jimmy Murphy.
